Nike Football + Ad Agency P-P-P-P-Power house - Wieden Kennedy unveils their short film, "Write The Future". It is 3 well worth it minutes of great cinematography, intense drama, passion, and a laundry list of guest appearances from Wayne Rooney to Homer Simpson. As FRESH as the film is, it is really just the start of it. Nike will be airing Write the Future on TV for the first time on May 22nd during the European Club Final as well as launching global partnerships with Youtube, Facebook, and QQ. 

BTW good luck this year Rooney... Just sayin

A couple weekends ago we decided to hit up a gallery that was recently voted “Best Place to Buy Art in Detroit”. If you have no idea what I’m talking about then you should probably hop on Google and search 323 East. We’ve been to a few their openings, and hot damn we have yet to be disappointed. Bringing in hitters like Glenn Barr, Ron Zakrin, and David Foox only to name a few, I have to say they have put on some good shows. With some Fresh, 70s inspired goodness by artist Netherland this opening was no different. Coming out of Chicago, this dude definitely brings color and tons of intrigue to his work. Fact is these dudes are hilarious. Ricky Gervais creator of the Office and Extras, Stephen Merchant, and Karl Pilkingon go from podcast hit to HBO animated series of total amusement. If you are up for Brilliant British humor and 30 minutes of Faffin around and talking Bollocks, chances are this is what you’ve been waiting for. The show Premieres on HBO February 19th at 9p/EST, but you can check out some extras and a full Episode right here.

A well known artist once said, "Art is not what you see, but what you make others see..". As you sit and sip your warm Chai Tea, ponder that for a moment. That quote is a poetic way of describing the amount of selflessness that goes in to creating a good piece of work, and the influence that work has over us all. ABOVE is dope. No question about that. But it's always refreshing to see an artist make their work bigger than themselves, and actually engage people by allowing them to see something beyond art for art sake. Once again, love the simplicity, love the location, and love the devotion to conveying a bigger and meaningful story. His latest work HELP THY NEIGHBOR takes place in Cuba. It tells the story of Cuba reaching out to help its fallen Neighbor, Haiti.
